When it came to editing the footage, once we knew what to do, it was quite simple. We started by transferring the footage from the camera to the Mac, into a Final Cut project. To start, the first we had to do was lip sync the music file with the mouth movements in the footage. To do this we would mark a point on the music track, where the artist would start singing and scan along the footage till we find the first part in which Joe or Matt would sing and mark that too. Then with those two marks we would line them and then watch the footage with the music track to see if they are both in sync with each other. If they weren't in sync then you would just keep moving the footage file until it did sync up correctly.
